Our Doctors

Dr. Lee Fausett, DVM

Dr. Lee Fausett, DVMDr. Fausett is Hanford Veterinary Hospital’s majority owner and Chief of Staff. A graduate of Oregon State University (1987), Dr. Fausett practiced veterinary medicine in Butte County, California, prior to his purchase of Hanford Veterinary Hospital in 1996. Dr. Fausett has an interest in orthopedic surgery and ultrasound. In addition to his work at Hanford Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Fausett is the founder of The Brando Fund, which provides veterinary care and services to the K-9 forces of the Kings County Sherriff’s Department. Dr. Fausett is also a member of the Rotary Club of Hanford. Dr. Fausett and his family enjoy their life in Hanford.

Dr. Rhett Swasey, DVM

Dr. Rhett Swasey, DVMHanford Veterinary Hospital welcomed Dr. Rhett Swasey in August 2007. He is a partner of Hanford Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Fausett. Originally from Utah, Dr. Swasey discovered his passion for veterinary care while growing up on his family’s farm. Dr. Swasey received his undergraduate degree from Utah State University in molecular biology and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Swasey, his wife Marie, and their children, Austin and Olivia, enjoy the small town atmosphere of Hanford and all our community has to offer. His family also includes two Scottish terriers, Annie and Lily.

Dr. Judy Walt, DVM

Dr. Judy Walt, DVMDr. Walt has been practicing veterinary medicine with Hanford Veterinary Hospital since 1986. A graduate of the University of California, Davis (1970), Dr. Walt takes a special interest in internal medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys gardening, bird watching, and volunteering time with church and local schools with audio/visual equipment, and she serves as a school board member.

Paula Fausett, Hospital Administrator

PaulaPaula is a graduate of Butte College. As the hospital administrator, she is involved in every aspect of the hospital’s business operations. Paula is the mother of two grown children and the owner of one cockatiel. She enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy by authors such as Terry Goodkind, Anne McCaffrey, and J.R.R. Tolkien.

Service Representatives

Susie

SusieSusie became part of Hanford Veterinary Hospital in March 2010. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies and is currently working on her teaching certification. Susie has a beautiful daughter who helps to keep her on her toes. She also has Chloe, a typical calico cat. Susie has spent 15 years in live theatre. Her hobbies include reading, playing piano and flute, and shopping.

Glenna

GlennaGlenna has been at team member at Hanford Veterinary Hospital since February 2002. She grew up in Minnesota and traveled with her parents during her high school years, in fact she attended Lemoore High School during the 11th grade while still roofing the hangers on NAS. She is very involved in the activities of her four children. Glenna is also active with the Guide Dogs for the Blind program and has trained six dogs now. She shares her home with two dogs, Powell (career changed guide dog) and Laughlin (guide dog in training), and three cats, Tarrah, Target, Katniss. Her hobbies include crafts, quilting, jigsaw puzzles (1000+ or higher), and writing fiction stories and poems.

Veterinary Assistants

Alicia

AliciaAlicia has been with Hanford Veterinary Hospital since February 2003 and enjoys working with all sorts of pets. Every day is a new learning experience, which make every day worth waking up to and going to work. Alicia believes you can learn a great deal from animals, such as loyalty, trust, and compassion. If you open your heart and mind, and give them a chance, animals will never give up on you. She lives in Hanford with her husband, daughter, and guinea pig, Nibbles.

Susan

SusanSusan’s career working with animals started 1983 volunteering at the Kings SPCA as a freshman in high school. She then took a different path and became part of the family at Hanford Veterinary Hospital in July 2005. She enjoys coming to work and being part of the care for our clients and patients in the exam rooms. Outside of work, Susan enjoys gardening in her flower beds, caring for her fish pond, and family gatherings. She is involved with raising funds for the Brando Fund and Paws & Claws program. Susan lives in Hanford with her better half, son, stepson, stepdaughter, and three cats, Marbles, Kitty, and Foxtail.
