At Hanford Veterinary Hospital, we look forward to meeting your new addition and putting nearly 70 years of experience in puppy and kitten care to work for you.

The responsibility of caring for a new kitten or puppy is not something to be taken lightly. The care your little one receives in the first few months will set the pace for his or her lifelong health and wellness. There is much to consider when planning for your puppy or kitten care, and our expert staff is here to help.

When planning for your new arrival, it is important to plan for the following events:

• Worming occurs on each puppy or kitten vaccination visit—Recommendations will be given at the conclusion of the puppy or kitten series based upon lifestyle

• Microchipping, so your pet can get home safe and sound should he or she stray from home

• Spay or neuter your pet at 5–6 months.

• Obedience training

During your appointments, also be sure to discuss any questions you have regarding your pet's overall wellness care and questions you may have regarding nutrition or dental hygiene.
