Pet Hospice & End-of-Life Care: One Day at a Time

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”—Winnie the Pooh
Saying goodbye to your pet is one of the most difficult episodes of life. At Hanford Veterinary Hospital we understand this sad truth, and we strive to make your pet’s passing as dignified as possible.
Whether your pet is reaching his or her golden years, has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, or has met with unforeseen circumstances, coping with the inevitable loss of your beloved pet is stressful and emotional. Our professional and compassionate staff will take the time you need to ensure your pet’s comfort and dignity in his or her passing and assist you in making the best decision possible regarding end-of-life care.
Hanford Veterinary Hospital has several available options for helping you manage the end-of-life experience for your pet, such as:
- In-home care, focused on palliative care under the supervision of your veterinarian
- Inpatient palliative care at our facilities
- Humane euthanasia
Whatever your decision, we will support and respect your choice as the best decision you can make for your loved one.
In addition to our end-of-life and hospice services, Hanford Veterinary Hospital will also assist you in handling the remains of your pet.
