Our In-House Laboratory: A Labor of Love
At Hanford Veterinary Hospital, our goal is to provide you and your pet with the very best veterinary services available in the area. We are proud to offer a full-service, in-house laboratory in order to enhance and expedite the full range of services we provide. By offering this service to our patients (and their owners), we are able to take the guesswork out of veterinary care, so we can begin any necessary treatments right away.
The work our in-house laboratory performs ranges from routine blood screenings and urinalysis to more complex cytology samples, the results from which are used in a variety of ways, such as:
- General health screenings
- Pre-anesthetic evaluations
- Diagnostic screenings for a range of conditions
- Evaluating the success of treatment
By having laboratory services on-site, as opposed to shipping the samples to a remote lab, we are able to get immediate results and put them to work without delay in the treatment of your pet. This is particularly useful when it comes to pre-anesthetic evaluation for surgical procedures, or in an emergency situation, when the treatment of your pet must not be delayed.
