A Joint Effort in Your Pet's Health

orthopedic surgery

The orthopedic surgery services provided by Hanford Veterinary Hospital offer relief from the bone and joint problems suffered by many pets. Whether these problems arise naturally, after years of active lifestyle, or from a traumatic accident or genetic predisposition, our experienced veterinary surgical team has the knowledge and skill to get your beloved pet back on his or her feet.

Before admitting your pet to surgery, Hanford Veterinary Hospital's surgical staff partners with our lab and our radiology technicians to run the diagnostics needed to ensure that your pet is a viable candidate for this type of surgery.

Some of the common conditions typically treated by orthopedic surgery include:

  • Cranial cruciate repair
  • Luxating patellar repair
  • Fracture repair and management
  • Limb deformity
  • Bone and joint disease

We are also proud to announce that with the opening of our expanded clinic in the summer of 2014, we will be offering veterinary hydrotherapy and laser for your pet as well. This type of therapy offers an alternative to surgery and will certainly be used in the rehabilitation of pets that have undergone orthopedic procedures. Hydrotherapy is an amazing way for pets to rebuild their strength in the affected ligaments and bones while minimizing the concern of re-injury.

Please check back soon for more information or contact us with any questions regarding this new treatment. We would be happy to address your concerns and give you the information you need to make an informed decision. Our billing department is also available to discuss payment options, including your pet insurance coverage for this type of procedure.
