As your pet ages, it is important to be mindful of changes is your pet's behavior, appetite (including water consumption), sleep patterns, and mobility. These considerations are indicators that something may be amiss and are good reasons to contact us for a diagnostic health screening.
In an effort to keep the vim and vigor in your senior pet, we recommend the following preventive care:
- Veterinary exams twice a year (more, if your pet has been diagnosed with a chronic condition)
- Regular dental exams and cleanings
- Hearing and eye exams
- Lab screenings, including blood work, urinalysis, and parasite testing
- Pain assessment
- Nutrition and exercise evaluation and management
